the site will ask you to log in if you’re using anything but internet explorer. you don’t have to make an account… just use internet explorer instead. or you can trick it into thinking you’re using internet explorer. if you use safari:
- open applications → utilities → terminal
- enter defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1 and press return
- quit safari if you have it open
- open safari
- go to avatar.yahoo.co.jp
- in the debug menu, set the user agent to “Windows MSIE 6.0”
- when you’re done with the site, change the user agent back to “automatically chosen”
